“The Love Of Christ Jesus”/Proverbs of Solomon VII

A Christ Filled Life-Getting To Know Jesus

I just looked at my Dashboard and saw that I have a lot more comments than my “Statistics” report.  I am sorry if I have not replied to your comments; but I want you to know from now on I will do my best to keep up.  God Blesses everyone that Believes and shares His Word.

I recently saw an Oatmeal Commercial where a 30 to 40 something woman, not old, was riding up on an escalator and looked down at her feet and saw she had on two different shoes.  I immediately felt better about all of my “senior moments” that I was slow to pick up on.   I also fear that the older I get the more “socially awkward” I am.  Meaning I was always awkward, only more so now.  But as a Believer in Christ Jesus I feel strong and sure as long as I am close to Him.  Thank God for Hebrews 13:5, Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have:  for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.  Genesis 28:15; Psalms 37:25; Isaiah 41:10, 17.

“Safe In His Arms,” Vickie Winans. Hallelujah!

“Proverbs Of Solomon” VII, Proverbs 14:1) Every wise woman buildeth her house:  but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.  Ruth 4:11.   2) He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the Lord:  but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.  Job 12:4.  3) In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride:  but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.  4) Where no oxen are, the crib is clean:  but much increase is by the strength of the ox.  5) A faithful witness will not lie:  but a false witness will utter lies.  Exodus 20:16.  6) A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not:  but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.  7) Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.  8) The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way:  but the folly of fools is deceit.  Luke 12:20.  9) Fools make a mock at sin:  but among the righteous there is favour.  Proverbs 1:22.  10) The heart knoweth his own bitterness (the bitterness of his soul); and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.  11) The house of the wicked shall be overthrown:  but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.  Job 8:15.  12) There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.  Proverbs 16:25; Romans 6:21.  13) Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.  Ecclesiastes 2:2.  14) The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways:  and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.  2Corinthians 1:12.  15) The simple believeth every word:  but the prudent man looketh well to his going.

Matthew Henry’s Concise Bible Commentary – v1, A woman who has no fear of God, will ruin her family, as if she plucked her house down.  v4, There can be no advantage without something which will affright (frighten) the indolent (lazy).  v10, We do not know what stings the conscience, or consuming passions of the prosperous sinner.  Nor does the world know the peace of mind a (serious) Christian enjoys, even in poverty and sickness.
