A Christ Filled Life-Getting To Know Jesus
I just looked at my Dashboard and saw that I have a lot more comments than my “Statistics” report. I am sorry if I have not replied to your comments; but I want you to know from now on I will do my best to keep up. God Blesses everyone that Believes and shares His Word.
I recently saw an Oatmeal Commercial where a 30 to 40 something woman, not old, was riding up on an escalator and looked down at her feet and saw she had on two different shoes. I immediately felt better about all of my “senior moments” that I was slow to pick up on. I also fear that the older I get the more “socially awkward” I am. Meaning I was always awkward, only more so now. But as a Believer in Christ Jesus I feel strong and sure as long as I am close to Him. Thank God for Hebrews 13:5, Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Genesis 28:15; Psalms 37:25; Isaiah 41:10, 17.

Matthew Henry’s Concise Bible Commentary – v1, A woman who has no fear of God, will ruin her family, as if she plucked her house down. v4, There can be no advantage without something which will affright (frighten) the indolent (lazy). v10, We do not know what stings the conscience, or consuming passions of the prosperous sinner. Nor does the world know the peace of mind a (serious) Christian enjoys, even in poverty and sickness.
